Where does Tay Leaf Matcha come from?
Our Kyoto Teien Matcha is crafted from first-harvest tencha sourced from Uji and Kagoshima and traditionally stone-milled in Kyoto. Selected for its vibrant color, rich umami, and exceptional smoothness, it is imported to Los Angeles, where it is packed and stored in a climate-controlled facility to maintain freshness, consistency, and quality throughout its journey to our customers.
Do you offer retail-ready products?
Yes. We offer retail formats suitable for cafés, grocery stores, specialty retailers, wellness businesses, and gift shops.
Is your matcha organic?
Yes. Our matcha is USDA Organic, QAI Organic, and OU Kosher Certified.
How does your matcha perform in café beverages?
Kyoto Teien was selected to perform exceptionally in hot and iced lattes, signature beverages, smoothies, and culinary applications. Its balanced flavor profile appeals to both matcha enthusiasts and first-time matcha drinkers.
Do you offer products besides matcha?
Yes. In addition to Kyoto Teien Matcha, we offer Hoko Teien Organic Hojicha sourced from Shizuoka, Japan. Hojicha is a roasted green tea powder prepared similarly to matcha and is rapidly growing in popularity for lattes and specialty beverages.

We process wholesale orders within one business day and typically ship via small parcel carriers. Because we are based in Los Angeles, orders within Southern California often arrive within 1–2 business days, while East Coast deliveries generally arrive within 3–5 business days. Expedited shipping services are also available for time-sensitive orders.
For local café partners, we offer same-day local delivery and local pickup options.
