Matcha latte lightly finished with cinnamon

Matcha and cinnamon create a warm, aromatic combination. Both ingredients are studied for plant compounds, but a matcha-and-cinnamon drink is not a proven treatment for inflammatory disease.

Why the flavors work

Cinnamon adds warm spice and perceived sweetness that can complement matcha’s grassiness and umami. Use a small amount so the tea remains recognizable.

Simple cinnamon matcha latte

  • 4 grams matcha
  • 30 grams water at 160°F
  • 160 grams milk for an iced 16 oz starting build
  • 10–15 grams simple or vanilla syrup, optional
  • A small pinch of cinnamon

Disperse the cinnamon in the syrup or milk rather than adding a heavy dry layer. For hot drinks, steam it with the milk only if your equipment and procedures permit.

Health-claim caution

Laboratory findings and ingredient studies do not prove that one latte reduces inflammation in people. Anyone managing a medical condition should rely on professional care rather than a beverage claim.
